Heather Robinson Hernandez, MFA is Editor and Publisher of Red River Review. A writer and interdisciplinary artist, her poetry, feature writing, and creative nonfiction have appeared in literary journals, newspapers, and digital publications, including Red River Review, Emerge Literary Journal, The Rusty Nail, Pueblo Star Journal, and Soulful Living with Heather. Across written and visual forms, her work explores place, identity, embodiment, environmental memory, loss, inheritance, and the relationship between internal and external landscapes. She guides Red River Review’s editorial vision with a commitment to artistic integrity, creative range, and thoughtful engagement across poetry, prose, hybrid work, and visual art.

Aaron Deutsch received his MFA with distinction from Texas State University. His work appears in The Atlanta Review, Scalawag Magazine, The Ilanot Review, and was a finalist for the 2019 Sycamore Review’s Wabash Prize in Poetry. His work also appears in the anthologies “Thirty Poems for the Tricentennial: A Poetic Legacy ” and “Closet Cases.”  His writing, heavily inspired by his love for the southern gothic, holds space for homonormativity in  heteronormative spaces and uplifts the mundane into the sacred.  Aaron is particularly interested in threading the needle between lyric and narrative, vulgar and vulnerable, and shame and pride.
