Quantum Entanglement in Heavy Water

We’re in group
listening to each other
tell about relaxation
techniques.
I do three one minute
mindfulness
every day and a six minute
meditation
every night says one.
Yeah sure you do.
Another has a Christian Bible
app on his phone
another chants a mantra
in Spanish.
I drift off a bit in the usual
confessionals.
Then startled, hearing before
listening
when one guy speaks of
the ocean.
I go to the ocean and sit
and listen and that’s all
he says.
I find myself spinning in spooky
action at a distance
with my paired electrons
in the child of my
childhood.
Sleeping in that amateur
built cabin loft
pine box sides for the slopping
ceiling.
The moon bright enough
to dream by.
The background-foreground hush hush hush
of Lake Huron
and the whip-poor-wills
rich sweet melodious
haunting—
peace
and an aching
for a time
before relaxation techniques.
